Langyao vase

The copper red glaze growing deeper as it reaches the foot of the vase ... the rich colour known as Langyao named after Lang the superintendent of the Imperial kiln during the early Kangxi period when the colour was developed. The band between neck and body distinguishes this type of ware as being late 18th century.
